NoKo

If it was a small nuclear blast, maybe it was just a demonstration for a potential buyer. Maybe it's a done deal, transaction concluded. Is the inability to confirm that it was, indeed, a nuclear blast and the subsequent comments about it being a 'dud' just an attempt to provoke NoKo's insecure leader into further testing?

Sanctions?? The economy has already failed, what does he have to lose? How are more sanctions going to persuade this regime into giving up the only bargaining chip it has? Please someone tell me? More likely to simply ignite more aggressive behavior by increasing pressure on a man who is already desperate.

If a toddler gets hold of and subsequently points a loaded gun in our face, would we calmly invite said toddler to sit down and talk, propose that if he doesn't drop the gun, we'll take away his toys? Of course not, we'd step up and take away the gun and worry about discipline later. Leaving nuclear technology in the hands of a self centered, stubborn and unstable man like Kim Jong-il is akin to leaving a gun in the hands of a toddler, irresponsible and just plain stupid.
